Doctor of Audiology


Dr. Rachel Anderson grew up in the Chattanooga, Tennessee and Lookout Mountain, Georgia areas. She attended and graduated from Chattanooga Christian School. She became interested in studying audiology after being exposed to the profession in her college sign language courses. She received her Bachelor of Science in Education degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of Georgia in 1997. She graduated with a Master of Education degree in Audiology from the University of Georgia in 1999. Dr. Anderson worked for six months at North Fulton Ear, Nose, and Throat in Roswell, Georgia. She then relocated to Chattanooga, Tennessee and took a job at Chattanooga Ear, Nose, and Throat where she completed her Clinical Fellowship Year and remained for three years. In 2004, she decided to pursue her doctorate in audiology. She received her Doctorate of Audiology degree from A.T. Still University in 2006.

Since 2004, she has worked on an as needed basis at various clinics and practices around the area, including T.C. Thompson Children’s Hospital, Looper Speech and Hearing Center, Associates in Ear, Nose, and Throat, The Speech and Hearing Center, and Dalton Ear, Nose, and Throat. She is a Fellow member of the American Academy of Audiology. She is licensed to practice audiology in Georgia and Tennessee.

Dr. Anderson decided to start her own practice in Trenton, Georgia, as it has been a long-time dream. Anderson Audiology opened its doors to the public on August 1, 2008. Dr. Anderson is excited to bring her services to Trenton and its surrounding areas and is proud to be serving in her community. She currently resides in Rising Fawn, Georgia with her husband and three children.
